Softball
Out of all the sports I play, softball is my favorite one. Ever since I was 9 or 10 years old I loved to play. In my last year in little league we won the tournament and I got Most Valuable Player award. That motivated me to be the best. But even though I wanted to be the best I wasn't always. I had to move up to the big leagues and I was the smallest kid out there. It's a big change from the little league to the big league. The older ones always hits to the most inexperienced one in the outfield. I messed up a lot but kept going and got better. This past summer was my last year in the big league. In that one season I got 4 All-Star awards and another MVP. The MVP award was from a tournament in Nome. We brought our All-Star team down there and won tournament. We wanted to get back at Nome for bringing their All-Star team to our tournament every year against us. The game I liked the most was our first game. We were down by one in the last inning with the tying run on third base. I was up to bat and there was already one out. I was pretty nervous but I knew the other team was too. I watched a few pitches go by until the right one came. I swung the bat as hard as I could and hit the ball right up center field. As I watched the ball fly further and further away I saw that the center fielder might be able to steal the homerun. He jumped up and came within a foot of the ball and missed. It was over. We won the game. Seeing the other team walk back to their dugouts mad just made me smile. I will always remember that for the rest of my life, but I still a whole lot more years of softball ahead of me. It's another big step from the big leagues to the men's league but I'm always looking forward to a challenge.
