My name is Robyn Wendy Ticket and I am a senior at Kotzebue Middle High School. I am eighteen years old and was born in Anchorage on December 22, 1988. My Inupiaq name is Qigñak and I was named after Lona Woods. My parents Allen Sr. and Ella Ticket raised me in Selawik. I am the youngest of eleven children, yes, eleven. I have three sisters and seven brothers; I also have a lot of nieces and nephews. I just gave you the order from oldest to youngest, three girls, seven boys, than finally there's ME! Most people mistake me as being my second oldest sister's daughter because we look so much alike and we practically love the same things. Before I had moved to Kotzebue from Selawik, I had moved here for the summer to work for Information Services. I have moved to Kotzebue in December of 2006 to work for Information Services with Maniilaq association and to play my last year of high school basketball as a Husky. I am going to miss playing in both volleyball and basketball. I loved it when my shots when swoosh, right into the net, and my nice jumper on top of the free throw area. I am going to be the first child to be graduating some where other than Selawik. Living here in Kotzebue is somewhat better then living in Selawik, because I have plenty of more opportunities I have here rather than in Selawik. There are something's I do miss living in Selawik like my friends and family, other than that I am fine living here in Kotzebue. After high school, I am wanting to attend University of Alaska Anchorage or Southwestern Oregon Community College. I don't really know what I want to major in right now, but right now my interests are computer networking or to become an elementary teacher. I think moving to a different state will be very different for me and I know I will really miss living in Alaska if I do attend college at Oregon because I have already got accepted. I will be living somewhat far away from my family and friends, but I will have to go through it because I will be on my own and taking care of myself. I would also like to get my pilots license sometimes in the future.
