The NWABSD believes that technology is a tool to enhance education, not a solution in itself. We provide every school with high-speed Internet, and multimedia computers in every classroom with approximately 1000 PCs districtwide. We provide students opportunities for online study through web-based coursework which can be found at http://www.nwarcticonline.org. We provide streaming media through Digital Curriculum and AIMS Multimedia for classroom instruction and use computerized adaptive testing with NWEA’s Measures of Academic progress. All staff are provided e-mail and Internet access as well as access to self-paced online training in a variety of technology areas. |
