Before I moved to Deering, I lived in a small town called Candle. We used to hunt and gather food. But before that I lived in Noorvik, it was fun and there was always things to do over there. We've lived in Deering for about a year and a half. Schooling is alright. I'm on the high school ball team here, it's pretty fun representing Deering, so far our season is OK. There is literally nowhere to go, this town is so isolated. I hope I can get out of this town soon.

My background is just about a little bit of everything. I pick stuff up here and there, nothing fancy. I grew up on the Kobuk river, where we hunted everyday. It used to be fun, now I am growing out of it. I worked as a carpenter for one year, that was a fun experience. The only thing I didn't like about it was waking p 6:30 every morning, but I got used of it pretty quick and I made a lot of money. But now I'm in a town that and there isn't any jobs that pay more than $5.00 an hour.
