Number of Bulletins ( 4 ) Fall Inservices & Health Insurance update _________________________________________________________________
#1. August 9, DISTRICT WIDE IN-SERVICE Information (submitted 7-14-2010):

All Permanent Employees, (Certified and Classified) are required to attend the August 9,2010 district wide in-service in Kotzebue. Charter Airplanes will be sent to your villages on August 9 to transport you into Kotzebue.

All Permanent Employees, except new teachers to the district, are to be at their sites at 8:30 am on August 9, 2010.

Most Employees will be Lodged at JNES or KMHS. Sleeping bags and airmatresses will be provided. If you do not desire to use district sleeping bags, please feel free to bring your own.

Please provide your own towels and toiletries.

#2 August 2, Inservices Information (submitted 7-14-2010)

Optional Teacher Inservice August 2-August 6 is for returning certified personnel only, not new hires or classified. Only those returning certified personnel who submitted their applications in the spring are accepted.

Principal Inservice is set for August 2-August 6.

#3. FALL District wide in-service
New teachers to the district will meet at 8:30 am, Monday morning, August 9, 2010 in the Kotzebue Middle/High School Cafeteria in Kotzebue, Alaska. Please inform HR of your arrival dates and times. If you go to your site before the in-service begins, HR will arrange for your flight back to Kotzebue on Sunday the 8th. For those who do not plan to go to their sites first, you will need to be in Kotzebue sometime on Sunday the 8th. The district will provide meals and accomodations.
Returning teachers and Classified Employees will need to report to their sites by 8:30 am, Monday morning, August 9, 2010. Charters will bring you from the site to Kotzebue. Village employees are NOT to report to Kotzebue but to the village site at that time.
Principals are to report to the principal in-service in Kotzebue by 8:30 am on August 2, 2010. Principals with 215 day contracts are to report to their sites to work by July 26, 2010.
Animal Owners who plan to have their animals accomodated in Kotzebue during the in-services must contact HR by July 1, 2010 and make arrangments for the accomodations. Call 907.442.3472 extension 237, 343, or 259, or e-mail afink@nwarctic.org
Certified Employees with Children who need accomodations during the in-service such as child-sitting, will need to make arrangements with LeeAnn (ext 267) or Loretta (ext 270) by July 1, 2010. You may e-mail ltyree@nwarctic.org
