Dana was born and raised in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area before moving to Colorado Springs where she finished her bachelor's degree in fine art and continued pursuing her education.
Dana has been in education for 16 years and has taught at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. Dana moved to Selawik, Alaska from Colorado in 2015 and worked at the Davis-Ramoth Memorial School as an English teacher for two years. In 2017, she moved to Kotzebue as a Staff Development Specialist for the district and became the Technology Coordinator in 2019.
She enjoys being outdoors, gardening, crafting, and a variety of fine arts in her spare time.
