State of Alaska Resources: Includes information on assessments such as the Kindergarten Developmental Profile, Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM), English Language Proficiency Assessment (ACCESS for ELLs), and National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).
Alaska's state summative assessment will be given this year starting at the end of March. Students in grades 3-9 will take an assessment in both English Language Arts and Math. Students in grades 4, 8, and 10 will also take an assessment in Science.
From the last week in March through April, our schools will be focused on this test. You can help by making sure that all children get to bed early and are ready to show what they know on this test!
Each test will take between 1 and 2 hours. Tests for older students will take longer. Students will get breaks and have snacks provided.
Student scores are distributed in late summer/early fall after scores are made available to our district. You will receive a printed score report in the mail for your student(s).
