Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is a statewide reading competition that challenges students to read and recall details from a curated list of books selected each year. Open to students in grades K–6, the program is divided into three divisions: K–2nd, 3rd–4th, and 5th–6th. Participants work in teams to build their comprehension and teamwork skills as they prepare to compete in friendly battles that test their knowledge of the books. Battle of the Books is a fun and engaging way to foster a love of reading and literature across grade levels.
