Learning Through Cultural Connections

The Alaska skies are dark and it's a great time to learn about the northern lights! Learning Kits for both elementary (4th/5th) and middle school (6th-8th) students containing amazing science/cultural northern lights resources and step-by-step lesson instructions are permanently housed in your school.

The Learning Kits (available at each school) and an accompanying video teach about the northern lights and feature Inupiat Elders and community members talking about their experiences. You might even recognize someone in the video!
