Welcome! I want to first and foremost state what an honor it is to be able to share your child's first year of school with you. Let me just share a little bit about myself for those that may not know me already.  I have been in Kotzebue and with the district for 16 years now.  In those years, I have had various roles: Instructional aide, PreK Teacher, and Kindergarten Teacher all while being a parent too. Being experienced in both the roles of Teacher and parent have always given me a unique view as I work with young children every day. Because your child is so young, they will need lots of support at school and at home. We are a team and I would like you to always remember that I am here for your child and you! You can do this!  We can do this!  Together!

Again,I consider it a privilege to be your child's Kindergarten teacher.  I will be working my hardest to ensure that all my students are supported with equity resulting in Kindergarten success!
