Greetings Buckland!

   I am Denise Keys. Born and reared in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I am the youngest of twelve siblings (eight sisters and three brothers). My parents are Louise and Isaac Simon (both are deceased). I am excited to be living here, near the Arctic Circle in the  Tundra! I have two beautiful daughters: Sydney and Solace Keys. I am also now an Ahna to the lovely little miss Erin.

I love teaching and traveling abroad. I have lived and taught science in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; San Antonio, Missouri City, and Houston, Texas; Vilseck, Germany and now the awesome village of  Buckland, Alaska! 

I received my undergraduate degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge and my Master's degree from Texas A&M in College Station. I teach Environmental, Earth and Physical Science , Health, Chemistry, Biology and Middle School Science. I am passionate about learning and teaching science, and hope to pass on this love of knowledge to my students.
