This is my 6th year teaching at NWABSD and my third year as the JNES music teacher! My favorite thing about teaching is my students. I love how different and versatile each individual student is, and I love getting to interact with their wonderful personalities every day at school. I am very excited to be teaching music again this year, a subject that I am very passionate about. I currently play, or I'm learning to play: The ukulele (soprano, tenor, baritone), piano, mandolin, drums, the Irish Tin Whistle, and the Irish chanter (pre-cursor to the bagpipes). In my free time, I love to be doing something creative or you can find me enjoying the outdoors. I love our beautiful land and I want to share that love and care with our students so that we may be better stewards for future generations.
After school, I am the supervisor of the Kotzebue Theatre program, which runs the JNES Drama Club and KMHS DDF Club. All 3rd-12th grade students interested in developing skills in the performing arts are welcome to join one of our Clubs!
If you need me, I am almost always at the school until at least 4:30. Feel free to call ext. 1873, drop by room 221 or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
