I am truly thrilled to be back in Selawik for a third year as a second grade teacher!  The coming school year is undoubtedly filled with uncertainty with regard to instruction and learning, but rest assured that I am here to support you, my students and families, with the same dedication to excellence that I work to instill in my students each year.  My desire for student learning has no barrier - whether online, in person, or both. I will work diligently to meet the needs of students and families.

My background includes nearly 20 years as an early childhood educator in traditional and Montessori environments.  I returned to school in 2013 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Western Carolina University.  Originally from North Carolina, I moved to Alaska in 2018 where I began my professional teaching career. Some of my favorite hobbies include photography, hiking, and travel.
