Hello, 

I am Benjamin Heebner, originally from Monticello Illinois. This is my second time in Alaska and I am looking forward to getting involved in the community of Noatak. My first experience in Alaska was in the village of Shaktoolik, down to the south, and I enjoy getting out and fishing during the summer. I, unfortunately, did not have any opportunities to hunt or track down in Shaktoolik, so I hope to get to experience both of those activities while I'm up here.

I attended the University of Portland in Oregon and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelors in Secondary Education and History. Currently, I am more than halfway through a Master's Program at Illinois State University and hope to finish it after readjusting to village life. I am Certified to teach High School and Middle School English Language Arts and Social Studies in Alaska.
