    Ms. B is originally from Wrangell, Alaska. She attended Gonzaga University and received her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. She has worked with students of all ages and has focused her work with at risk students. Lois has both her Master's Degree in Curriculum Instruction with a literacy emphasis as well as an Educational Leadership Master's Degree. After Teaching in Washington State for 20 + years, she return to her home state of Alaska to continue her educational career. 

       Ms. B has served the communities of Noorvik and Ambler. Lois has been a classroom teacher for multiple grade levels ranging from 3rd -8th grade. She has been an instructional coach in the area of mathematics. She was named Principal of Ambler School and held this position before being named the head principal of Selawik. She is passionate about education and the welfare of our children. She loves the Pre-K-12 teaching environment our region has to offer.

    Lois is excited about the opportunity to serve Selawik and the Davis-Ramoth Memorial School as its head principal. Ms. B knows the students and community can come together to build a stronger school in which students will persevere and be successful in both their educational goals as well as life goals. Together with all community involved, Selawik will become “Selawik Strong”. Bring on year 4! :)
