The 2025-26 school year will be my eleventh year at JNES. I taught 3rd and 5th grades for 9 years, and this is my second year as an administrator. I believe that every student has the ability to learn, and I strive to maintain a learning environment that is rooted in high expectations for all learners. Families are incredibly important to the learning process, and my door is always open for your input and collaboration.

Student safety is a top priority. We strive to create an environment where all students feel secure, valued, and empowered to take risks in their learning. We promote respectful relationships, clear routines, and consistent expectations across all settings. In doing this, we build the foundation for a positive school culture where learners can reach their maximum potential. Communication between students, staff, and home is key to this.

At the heart of our academic program is a commitment to high-quality literacy instruction grounded in the science of reading. We believe every child can learn to read, and we support that belief through evidence-based practices, structured literacy instruction, and a focus on early intervention. Our teachers engage in ongoing professional learning to ensure they have the tools and knowledge to meet each student's unique learning needs.

JNES is more than a school--it's a community. We value the partnerships we have with families and organizations throughout the region, and we believe that working together, atautchikun, we can make great things happen!
