Overview:
The goal of the Migrant Education Program is to ensure that all migrant students reach challenging academic standards and graduate with a high school diploma that prepares them for responsible citizenship, further learning, and productive employment.
Is your family involved in seasonal work or subsistence activities that require travel? Your child may qualify for support through our Migrant Education Program.

Migrant Education Questionnaire
This short questionnaire will be reviewed to determine if the child is eligible. Please include the contact information located in the questionnaire.
Who is Eligible?
Children may qualify if the following requirements are met:

Travel Distance: The child must have traveled at least 20 miles from home or crossed school district boundaries.

Type of Work: The child must travel with or to join a parent or guardian who is a migratory agricultural worker or fisher. This includes:

Duration of Stay: The child and qualifying worker must stay at the new location for at least 7 nights and 8 days (these days can be non-consecutive) within a one-year period.

Economic Necessity: The trip must be made for reasons related to the family’s economic needs.
